Ella Dunphy established her auctioneer's practice in 2002, which was the first female-owned estate agency in Kilkenny’s property sector.
Having gained a reputation for excellence, uncompromising standards and in-depth local knowledge, the nationwide franchise Douglas Newman Good invited Ella Dunphy to join their team in 2004. In 2009, Ella established a dedicated block management division of DNG Ella Dunphy to provide outstanding facility management services for both developers and residents. With demand continually increasing, DNG Ella Dunphy now manage a number of the South East’s most significant multi-unit developments and facilities.
Ella was elected as the first female member of the Council of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers (IPAV) in 2013, representing Ireland’s qualified auctioneers. In this position, she takes an active role on IPAV’s expert committee in advising, monitoring and recommending council policies. This role ensures that DNG Ella Dunphy are at the forefront of key policy changes and property trends.
Constantly up-skilling, Ella qualified as a TEGoVA valuer in 2014. TEGoVA is the European umbrella organisation of the National Valuers’ Association, which aims to standardise valuation practices across Europe for the long-term benefit of Irish and international buyers, sellers and property developers. This qualification is recognised by the Central Bank of Ireland. She is also a member of the Chartered Surveyors of Ireland and a registered valuer with all major lending institutions.
A family firm, Ella’s son Ciarán joined DNG Ella Dunphy in 2008 and became a Director in 2016.
Ciarán is a fully licenced auctioneer and holds a BSc in Property Studies (Economics, Law, Management, Valuations & Marketing) from Dublin Institute of Technology. Ciarán is a member of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers and a fully licenced auctioneer and estate agent. Ciarán is also active in the development land sector, offering more than seven years of regional experience in sale, valuation, acquisition and consultancy services.
